I started reading this thread properly, but then got bored with the form/function stuff.
Use Flash? Sorry, I'm with PhilipMac. ANYTHING you want to do in Flash, can be done in other languages (I use the term lightly) more efficiently (less time to produce & less time to download by the visitor). I'm a big fan of the new Web2 stuff, in fact, I'm writing in it pretty much daily. But then I also write in Java daily, and I'm expecting a slap from PhilipMac about that ( ![]() There is currently NOTHING out on the web that particularly impresses me. Probably mainly because I look more at the content than anything else. HTH Spidey ![]() |

EDIT: Just realised how old this thread is, so not surprised that hosted pictures disappeared. Was really caught out by it being exactly a year old thread! ![]() Last edited by Stu; 23-04-07 at 10:07 AM. |

Wow how wierd this thread should turn up again. Wierd? Why? i hear you ask. Well its because we finaly let this go live earlier this month.
www.bathroomz.com Have a look boys n girls and i'd really appreciate any feedback. And i mean any. And if you're feeling naughty and are tempted to fill in the enquiry form with rude words or other nonsense then dont worry cos they all come to me first for distribution. So you wont be able to tell my boss how much slaking i do ![]() but seriously, have a look and praise or criticise please. ![]()

Chuckle, well timed thread revival. Like it. Nothing particularly special, doesn't try to be overly clever, just does what it needs to. In terms of design I guess it looks ever so slightly old (only by a year or two) but it's certainly smart enough to look professional and clean.
As a potential customer I suppose the only thing I'd like to see that isn't in would be some idea of prices (but that's because I'm a tight-****) - obviously pricing on full on suites is difficult to nail down, but possible for tile packs and the like? BTW, "Portfolio summary text here" on portfolio.asp and the "client's views" jpg on that page looks a teensy bit naff too ![]() |

Oooh, typo alert also on portfolio.asp:
"Our designers were given a brief by the client to produce three distinctive barthrooms to suit the members of the family that would be using each of the three en-suite bathrooms." ---------------- The Spelling Nazi EDIT: Also "allowed for recouperation after a hard days work at the" on the same page. EDIT 2: "For further information on any of our packages please Contact us, or why not visit our showroom in George Sreet, London W1" on promotions.asp Last edited by MiniMatt; 23-04-07 at 02:48 PM. |
