See the other thread somewhere on the forum - it could cost you £50 to get 'em fitted

Go elsewhere. By the time you have paid for them to be fitted (Look elsewhere on the forum) it would be chaper to go to FWR in Kennington. £165 all in

I was going to get Joe and Jordan to do it for nowt

However, I won't bother because it's a hassle to get them to Jordan's.

FWR you say Viney? Could you give their full name or phone number? Thanks very much.

I have been phoning round all morning - The best I have found is £15 from some cowboy in Holloway. Kept on banging on about the size of my wheels

"Are they 17" or 18" mate 'cause I can do both"

"you do know these are bike tyres?"

"Yeah, so how many of them are they"

"erm, 2!"

"yeah 15 quid"

To be honest this guy doesn't fill me with confidence at all, so I'm thinking of paying £37 for FWR service which would take the overall cost to £160 - even with Quiff's bargain tyres. For a £5 saving, it is NOT worth the hassle!

Anyone got a rough idea of how much it should cost to have tyres fitted if you take the wheel off and take that and the tyre along (rough price per wheel)? Will a car place be able to fit bike tyres, or is it a completely different skill?

Yeah i phoned yesterday morning to be told that inc delivery it would be £150. Said the same about the Contis. Found a place round here selling the Contis for £145 to loose wheels so went for those in the end. Should get them in the next few days ready for the North/South.

a car place can do it they just need the correct jaws for the tyre machine and the balencer needs a special fitting normally.

My local car place will do anything up to 6 tyres on loose wheels for ''whatever you thinks right'' so about a tenner a pair.
