Don't worry, despite all the figures that I've read I sincerely doubt anyone elses goes much faster, some of these numbers are just daft - I don't doubt that everyone is being quite honest about the numbers they've seen, but some of the figures are just fantasy.

On a standard bike an indicated 126 is sound as a pound. Anymore and you've got a very vivid immagination or a speedo that's so way off the mark you might as well just chuck in the bin.

We've had an indicated 128 on the clock, two-up.

But that was with Pete flat on the tank and me flat on top of him.

Interestingly, our friend behind us on his 636 said his speedo was reading 142. Think ours was the more accurate one

Okay, in the interest of accuracy I will correct my previous findings. I had the chance to keep the throttle pinned for a good while and with my 65 profile front tyre the bike eventually read 136 on the speedo.
