I work for an Acoustic Flooring company. My role is to speak to architects, builders and help them design systems for conversions into flats and newbuild flats...
I think job title is like, acoustic/technical engineer...

Also have a P/T job twice a week, Wed/Sat, 'erecting' market stalls!!

Sh*t (but short) hours, labour intensive, but the extra cash in my 'sky-rocket' lets me get all my 'boys-toys'!!

Official title is Senior Support Engineer, but basically I look after the database systems for huge logistics companies. Boring work, but right now there's little of it to do, and the weather is good.

Main advantage is that my ride to/from work takes me along the A5.

I'm a slightly dented courier from the nightmare that is central London!! Ohhh the fun of taxis, WVM, cycle couriers (Red light runners) and tourist looking the wrong way!
TBH the proper taxis (Black Cabs) aren't as bad as you think. Most of them try thier best not to kill you and generally move over for you, the worst guys (& gals) are the buses, they just don't give a s**t! (Apologies to any bus drivers on the forum, hopefully you aren't included in the above comment )

Still chemical engineering, exciting at times, but trying to get the company to put up the money to back your ideas can be a little trying.

Also dull at times with calcs, hazard assessments, paperwork etc, but think all jobs have their plus and minus points!

Always thought I'd just do this for a few years, and then sod off to become a ski instructor and/or deep sea diver. But getting used to the money and pay rises so can't complain at the age of 26 and first job out of Uni. I'll just wait and see, got a good project coming up which should keep me busy for a year or so.
