I'd walk.

Ever seen a gym from the inside ?
You're talking bo11ox

1st of all you are not warmed up on a 500 yards run
2nd you won't have a cardio vascular workout in such a short period

3rd getting massive is the way ahead

My Training:

5 times a week Weight Training@1 hour
3 Times 1.5 hours cardio
3Times Martial Arts @2 hours

So don't talk about fitness if you haven't got a clue.

Back on topic.

Walking there is not an option! As I need the full hour for weight training.

I agree with PatUk (I'm also a heavyweighlifter). I would walk though to get the blood pumping around your body before your workout. Or ifyou HAVE to ride, just wear some thick jeans and a bike jacket.

Heavy weights are the way forward!!

Yep - and if you come off, you'll simply bounce down the road anyhow!

And all the girlies can check those muscles.

Great solution!

how about one of these? little effort required, and not as dangerous as a bike? plus it folds up very small so can fit in a bag?

walk to the gym & push it back to the office - that should provide a suitable muscular & cardio workout for you

Erm, how are heavy weights 'the way forward'? Doing heavy weights and getting big only means you will have to spend even more time in the gym in your future years unless you want to get all flabby and 'orrible.

I see all these guys in the gym who have big 'show muscles' and half of them can't run for two minutes and can't even lift much more weights, if any, than guys half their weight. And they spend more time chatting to other 'beefcakes' than actually doing anything productive.

PatUK why weight train for five hours a week unless you're going to enter a competition or something? There's much better things to be done with your time! Ride your bike for an hour at lunch or something!

Walk to the gym, and spend the time in their efficiently.
