Dunno on this. Killed my VFR 750 with an appalling lack of observation overtake. totally my fault. I bailed and flew between two cars at over 40 mph. Bike was crunched under on coming car. So in this instance bailing was the right thing.

A few weeks ago, bike started to lowside coming off a roundabout. I stayed on and steered into the slide and managed to save it, even though the foot peg was down. Luckily did not suddenly grip and spit me off the top!

So in my limited experience I would say go with your instinct.

Ohhh just remembered I had another off! (funny how you blank things out) Low sided on some overbanding thoughtfully placed on a corner by the council after being riding for 12 months. The thread on resprays reminded me!

Held on to that until on my @rse, then let it slide away. Was thinking 'got away with it' - the next day my pillion admitted the foot peg had stabbed her in the thigh, quite deep too. Needed stitching.

So on reflection, hold on to a low side?
