It could be down to how you ride it. On sports bikes you very rarely "actively" counter steer, just move your body position a little and you "should" move the bars too. Well, that's how it works for me....
With the dynamics of the steering, trying too hard to push the bars seems really odd and unnatural. You can't really give them a big tug to get the bike over, it's more subtle than that. Having said all of this, on a modern SS600, you should only have to think "turn" and it's doing it. If that's not the case then something ain't right.... . |

I'm thinking maybe the one I rode was a bad 'un. The dealer had 24 hours notice that I wanted a test ride and if he can't be arsed to put the suspension back to standard and pump the tyres up then he's not getting my money.

My GSXR turns in quick, but I can remember looking in my left hand mirror and you being on a tigher line than I was. But that could also be due to differences in our riding styles.
