That said I have got an old longbow too - but it's a lightweight little thing as I really can't get on with the draw style.

Strange - I couldn't hit the side of a barn 10 feet away if I was to throw a ball at it - but put a 'mechanical device' in my hands like a gun or bow and suddenly I'm accurate. Go figure.
Some people have a natural eye for it and others can built skill threw repartiton, never really had to work at it myself.

Ever try the dustbin full of water at 10 yds with a chisel point, awesome

Or was it just your way to get a current issue into a gag?

Sadly hungerford and Dunblaine got in the way to get rid of my toys before digital photography so I will have to link to network photos of the toys

firstly my all time favorite to p1ss of anyone taking pistol shooting serious when you are on the ajacent firing point

The Ruger Redhawk in 0.44 Magnum. first time I tried one, was a classic UIT stance, with the recoil came the shout of feckin hell I want one

Next has to be the colt gold cup, the first proper pistol I owned

and the ubiquitous Browning Hi-Power

Whilst like Rictus I owned an Enfield. Mine was a No 4 in 7.62.

However hungerford forced my Galil off the ticket.

Not really a gun lover exactly, I've shot a couple but I didn't feel the love... But I love the engineering in them. And these are just beautiful... A last evolution of an idea that was about to become utterly antiquated, but what a piece of engineering. Utterly funtional too. They're all great but the 50's Navies and earlier Patersons, Walkers and Dragoons that led to it are my favourites.

I've got a pretty nice, accurate italian repro Army- nonfiring of course, but they do a live version from mostly the same parts. It came as a kit, and wasn't it lovely assembling it without instructions- all of the Army and Navy models were designed to be impossible to rebuild wrong, and so that you could strip and build one with no tools- you could scrape a coin into shape to do the screws.

You wouldn't want to have to reload one in a hurry, mind... Though you could change cylinders in about 10 seconds with practice.
