to me, it would be wise to try and identify the compounds that give rise to the chemotheraputic effect - it may be several (I know that some drugs work better when taken together - a "synergistic effect") or it may only be one. This way, other things can be removed, and make something really potent

All i've been told is this mushroom stuff works wonder for cancer patient across the world. why it is not made available here is behond me (red tape and general untrust anything that is ourside the ralm of conventional medicine maybe the reason), Chinese have been using it for many thousands of years and no side effect is known (truely evidance based over time in comparison to so called evidance based medicine going through drug trails over small period of few years). For me, whenever i hear ppl talking about cancer, i want to let people know this mushroom's existance and hopefully people can open their mind a little and maybe to save a life or two.

The Evidence has not been gathered in a controlled manner - this makes it Anecdotal. What happens if something in the Mushroom reacts badly/combines with something in MacDonalds Milkshakes?

Hence the needs for testing and the like.

And I believe its a different type of mushroom for expanding the mind

I know where you are coming from, I have people who have sworn by various natural remedies etc and in the end more than one has found out its a bad thing.

agree with you on drug interactions, side effects, etc. And i bet there's some kind of clinical trials going on, but it takes too long whilst a lot people can benefit if they just know about it. The herb is readily available in uk as far as i know as supplement.

No excuse for embarrassment in the doctors surgery!!!
Sorry for your loss mate, do you know at what age you should be having your hoop probed ?

the very funny routine that Billy Connolly has about this subject (and I never thought I would be howling with laughter about a prostate exam let me tellya!), you should have a prostate check at age 50 onwards, which is the age doctors recommend. Info: http://www.prostate.com.au/
