Probably not a good idea to tell you this now you've bought the bike, but you can usually get the dealer to chuck an alarm in for free. |

Picked it up and been showing the family. What a AMAZING bike. I used to a 125cc where you need a fist full of throttle to get anywhere. Even today with gusty winds it still sat at 70!
The exhaust sounds great as-is, I don't really have any choice with it being restricted. With me being ~ 6ft 1" and being a tubby lad the handle bars seem a little low but that's maybe because I used to the up right position of the VanVan. Any way I'm off to have more fun and put a great big smile on my face, I'll leave you with pictures of me with my K7 SVS. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edit: How many miles am I looking at to s tank of fuel during run in? if you're behaving to the book (ie, no more than 5500rpm) then you could be looking at 200 miles per tank. Thats about 75 mph in top, if you need a non-aural guideline.
I can stretch mine to 175 if I behave when the light has been on for 15 miles or so - but I don't behave well enough, like most here ![]() I reckon that running in period is why I ran out of gears so often early on with it - when you change up at 5k, you need about 9 gears to get to 90 ![]() |

Yes you do.
A can isnt going to add enough performance to put it over 33bhp, even if it did theres no way they could do you for it, if your bike was shown to be making 33.5bhp then you could just argue the toss about the accuracy of their dyno. And it would certainly be restricted, as it wouldn't be making 70bhp Though your certificate will say for a standard bike, if it came to it just claim ignorance and remember its up to the coppers to prove that your bike is over 33bhp, not up to you to prove its less than. IMHO unless you are speeding around like a loon, or going well over a ton, the police don't seem to take much interest in restriction. |
