Forgive my stupidity, but what now?

You get the SV1000 back AND you get the £3,000 from the insurance, and you fix up the thou' using the insurance money?

Nice little project whilst your collar-bone heals

Get someone else to rebuild it for ya (whilst you watch n learn), and then by time it's "sorted" you should be healed enough to Autosol it to "atomic blast white-out" proportions

For your third bike I'd suggest a black curvy...............the total opposite of both silver AND pointy!
Black would help to hide the dirt too....

You were expecting the family war when we spoke in Betws just after the off. Follow the wise words you said yourself & give them time to come around. If they don't ride themselves, they'll never see your point of view.

Good news on hopefully getting the thou back, it'd make a good project.

All kwak needs to do is explain that the insurance company are making him, MAKING him, take the bike back. So what else will there be to do other than keep it?!

But what you forgot to add FS was, that to placate the loved ones, he is willing to compromise and downsize..........................

To a 650.

Job done.

How much do you have to buy it back for? Is it worth it? Why not just buy another thou at least then a new bike wouldnt have catc write off on it's history?
