Are B*ndit riders allowed in? A mate of mine (who lives near to Boxhill) wants to come along.

If it sways the decision........the B*ndit also has a t*pb*x.

A fair point.

Now remember, that there can be anything upto 50 riders (Previous record was 56 bikes in Brighton) so this does need organising if its going to go ahead.

Just a thought.

Right, we're staying over for the Sunday night as it's in for a carb rejet and suspension set up at Jordans on the monday.

Has anyone taken on the mantle yet of on the day organiser/leader?

i wouldn't mind leading, although i should say i've no sense of direction, have no idea what roads are good up there, and don't exactly ripple the tarmac with my lightning speed (although anyone wanting to go faster can always overtake and make their own way to brighton...)

if someone wants to put a nice route together i'll put my foot in as lead bike, it'd be nothing if not amusing as 50 bikes all pull over to check the map...

i'd also put my vote in for the layoff system:

Quote:
THE LAY-OFF SYSTEM FOR GROUP RIDING.WE ARE NOW USING THIS SYSTEM THE LEAD BIKE WILL INDICATE A POSITION FOR THE BIKE BEHIND TO PULL OVER AS A DIRECTION MARKER FOR THE GROUP.
This is normally done by pointing to an area on the road where the Marker Bike is to stop. This bike acts as a direction marker for the rest of the group USING INDICATORS OR HAND SIGNALS. ALL THE GROUP PASS THE DIRECTION MARKER BIKE, WHEN THE TAIL-END BIKE ARRIVES THE MARKER BIKE PULLS AWAY IN FRONT OF THE TAIL-END BIKE AND FOLLOWS THE GROUP TO THE NEXT DIRECTION MARKER BIKE. This system works even if the group is broken-up in traffic, as the marker bike MUST always remain in place until the TAIL END BIKE arrives.
THE LEAD BIKE AND TAIL END BIKE WILL HAVE YELLOW REFLECTIVE OVER JACKETS
