I cautiously agree. It's a volatile subject that could self ignite at any moment

When it's for a 5 minute fuel stop and it's a flip up so they can see my face it's f'ing annoying....

In general, I lean towards this view.

In majority of cases, I tend to see it as an ignorant thing to do.

I know my Aunty who is eighty be would be frightened seeing someone walking around in a helmet. We do sometimes need to think about other people.

That said, I do agree with Kaivalagi when it comes to flip up helmets.... in the scenario he's outlined.

Its one thing to take helmet off because you want to, and totally another to be ordered to take it off by some jobsworth - especially when the 'person' (could be male or female, who knows) can stand there next to you with their whole face and body covered and political correctness means that they don't have to show their face. Burka /niquab not even required by Islam, it is mainly worn by young, western females (not popular amongst older women) who want to prove a point LOL 'because we can, that's why' - many countries have banned it in public, so why can't we.

Don't know about helmets frightening me, It frightens me when I cannot even see someones eyes and have no way of telling if they are man or woman or if they have a bomb or an Uzi under their voluminous robe.

It is an ignorant thing to do to cover your face in public in the UK - period................ (for whatever reason). I would not go into a bank, petrol station or shop in the UK with my helmet on, I take it off when not on my bike, but as long as it is one law for some and another law for another people will feel discriminated against.
