Yesterday I spent 9 hours getting a GSXR shock to fit on my Pointy.

Happy I did it but next time a garage is doing it, I even had the pleasure of it falling over when I undone the dogbones.

Mounted a PIR in the garage.
So when I open the door the lights come on and the door bell rings.

I admit I cheated and bought a kit...
Then hacked a wireless door chime.

Helps keep the floating discs floating. Mine's an 06 model that's only done 9K miles but I thought I'd do it, as it's probably never been done before.
Just did mine. Took 10 minutes. Satisfying and slightly worrying amount of crud washed out of them and they actually move much freer now.

Will be added to my maintenance routine from now on. Thanks for the reminder Craig.

Been rather busy on the bike today I fitted an R6 throttle tube, moved the carb needles up one notch, checked and then re-torqued the spark plugs, trimmed the spark plug leads and refitted the caps as one had loosened, added an extra 2mm to the rear shock and lastly fitted a +1 tooth rear sprocket along with new cush drive rubbers.

Have you ridden it yet? I'd be in a hurry to try it out.

All I did was fit a new battery. I got six years out of the last one, so I bought another. It's Chinese manufacture, so the quality may vary. I hope not.
