Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I've got my trusty HP Envy laptop back (I'm typing on it now). It flickered a few times and went dead on me just before Christmas and I've only now got it fixed, partly because the repair place I wanted to use would not allow walk-in's during Covid lockdown, only courier deliveries. They're open again now and after two days I got a mail saying all fixed. A loose connection was all, so not a blown graphics thingamy or fubar battery after all. £36 so absolute result.

The big corporations can afford the best advice and lawyers. The EU has had many bloody noses trying to sue big corporations, when even the ECJ had to tell EU they were doing something illegal......... which the EU often does.

Not for the AAA safety standard you couldn't.
Cheaper jeans yes, with an A rating (only a 2 second slide time) which are really of safe use sub 50mph. |

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I now have a very satisfying "cats cradle" of fishing line criss-crossing the pond. It will be fun watching the wood pigeons and blackbirds try and bathe in it now. The damn things knock the plants off the ledge down into the depths in the process and I get a very cold and wet arm getting them back out. They have two bird baths to use so they'll just have to lump it.
