Yay, canicross! Just make sure it's you hooked up to the dog next time Martin.

Good practise running with someone faster than you. Most canicross runners will be around 10% faster than the equivalent unaccompanied runner, as long as the dog is pulling as it should.

My sister has a labradoodle puppy just now too. Seems to just keep growing and growing!

Shouldn't really be running any sort of distance at that age as their joints haven't full formed and closed up.

They do make very good canicross dogs though, once they're old enough.

Looking at those sites he needs a better harness too.
I'll forward them on to him.

Darren, yeah he's pretty massive now.
But still quite stupid. He's been coming into the office since he was tiny. It's his second home now. When he was tiny he used to sit on my lap whilst I worked. Unfortunately he still thinks he can!

Twice the distance tonight. Two whole miles! Maybe try for three tomorrow

Great stuff Darren, but don't forget the runner's mantra of "run, rest, run, rest". Run one day, rest the next. Walk, cycle, swim, or something like that on rest days.

Are you recording your runs by the way? Strava maybe?

Yeah I should have a rest but last night was barely anything. I'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow. Na I don't have strava. I just look on google maps to get a rough idea on how far I've gone

What I like about Strava and other similar recording/tracking apps are the details they provide about your run. It encourages me to compete against myself and improve. Nice to look back over the months and years and see how you've done too.
