It is! I'm painting my Helmet with it, in your honour! (Erm, no, I'm not! orange helmets court controversy!)

I'd just like to point out ITS TOO COLD TO BE STANDING OUTSIDE DOING WET AND DRY!

I'm freezing!

Coffee and a bit of Rugby should do the trick

Well, there's another 5 hours of rubbing over and I think we're down to pin-prlck level now. Just the tiny bits left to fill and sand then I'll give it another quick dusting with the primer to check the results.

Hopefully the weather will be dry enough tomorrow to sort it out.

First of all, get the tank off.

The Thermostat will be coming out tomorrow now that it is removed...

I can't belive how much heavier this tank is compared to the curvy! That fuel pump weighs a ton!

Fuel removed, filler removed and stickers removed... Let the sanding begin!

panels with the pin prlcks marked...

...and the tank with a whole lot of elbow grease used!

Tomorrow... Spraying... probably, after more filling and sanding...

Glad you enjoyed it! It took almost a year to write, I hope it didn't take that long to read

We race with guys who are almost 80 so age isn't an issue. Jusy go and rob a post office and you'll be set (and in case the CIA or MI6 are reading this too, no, I didn't mean that and you should be racing too instead of spying on people )

I'm off to have a fiddle with Photoshop and see if I can't tweak the paint design any.

C,

Have you got a link to the racing schedule for this year? Might head to East fortune again

You'd learn a hell of a lot more useful stuff in the University of Life that is the Minitwin paddock.
And it would be a lot cheaper.

Well, its still raining so it was about time the Thermostat came out.

The indupitable Mr Smith lent me his fancy Front paddock stand which makes things a lot more stable (thanks Andy!). A car jack under the sump isn't a long term solution

So, First thing is Airbox off and there's a dozen fiddly bits to take care of just to get it off. then drain the winters Antifreeze out of the bike.

Then come the throttle bodies which is just a couple of turn of a screwdriver.

and then the thermostat housing is relatively accessible.

Pull out the thermostat...

and then remove it...

and they say the thermostat doesn't restrict flow! Just look at the junk in there! So gave it a clean out and now I'll give the whole engine a few flushes with water to get out the last of thre antifreeze and clean out the sludge!

Much better!...

Pop everything back on and its good to go.

And just in time for the rugby coming on at 3
