I never mentioned banning IP's.....don't see the point as, as you say, it's easy to get around. Just saying it doesn't matter if he's laughing now...he won't be laughing forever and we are the winners here....we have real lives!

I find it hard to imagine that after the wide condemnation in this thread and the realisation of what he has done in terms of upsetting people, that he'll be laughing about it.

I suspect he has never been in the forces and is a bored National rail ticket clerk with a few mental issues. I have never been in the forces nor lost a family member in combat, and I didn't really understand the fuss. If somebody wanted to be that sad, laugh at them not get angry about it, but when I read Lozzo's first post about why he was angry, then I understood it.

Perhaps only after reading this thread will he understand it too, but then maybe not if he's mentally unstable enough to have started a thread about DD being Geoffrey's petrol fetching hero.

I dunno, I can't imagine him laughing about it, or am I just having too much faith in the human race? If he is laughing then he is actually ill and needs some help.

Geoffrey lives in Swindon, he gets up early in the morning. He goes about in a works van, probably with more than one person. He works around Swindon, and has an intimate knowledge of the streets of the area (he always knows where he is, more than I do around Bristol). He rides an SV650SK4 Poly26 bellypan, Beowulf slipon exhaust, Zerogravity d/b screen, and braided lines. Pretty distinctive, not many of them around especially the Poly26.

All this we know from his profile and his propensity for spotting SVs around the Swindon area.

Ralph, I do agree with you....lots of people are not wanting to think of him sitting at his desk laughing.

The sad fact is that there are people in this world who get off on stuff like this.

What is sadder, but perhaps more likely is that he may be a person that is indeed incredibly lonely, has naff all self esteem and creating the personas of DD/Becks/Geoffrey was the only way in which he had the confidence to post and give advice. He may, as I've said before not think he, as he actually is is a good enough person to get the respect or friendship of others.

If that is the case then no, he won't be watching this and laughing...he'll be in a right state as he'll have read through the posts from almost everybody including myself that he was well respected for the advice that he was able to give. It is a shame he is not still able to do that. Maybe if this is the case, seeing a mental health professional would do him some good...not because he's a nutjob, but because he needs to learn some self worth and social skills and understand that not everyone likes everbody all the time, but whoever you are in this world and whatever you do...you are deserving of being liked for who you are. If he cleans toilets for Network Rail and pops in the offices to get online....so what...at least he wouldn't be a dole scrounging scumbag and he'd have my respect for having a job and paying taxes.

So....If this was the case and he came on here and apologised, he'd have my forgiveness and possible eventually friendship.

Either way, he needs to understand that despite any intentions.....people have been hurt by this as many people were genuinely saddened to hear of his "passing".

I could well be wrong here, but don't those photos show a side reflecter on the front forks meaning it is a US bike?

well seeing as motosliders are from Canada or somewhere its likely its from another website.

Besides IIRC DD's bike was supposed to be the original yellow curvy variety

Yes DD had a habit of using other peoples bikes/photos to illustrate his points.

Geoffrey started the 'Dangerous Dave Down' thread, in which he says, "Not much information to go by, he was due to work on my sons Curvy today"

Would you be able to check DD's or Geoffrey's PMs and see if they actuall communicated by PM? If there are no PM's between them then that's a strong indication that they're the same person. I'd be very surprised if someone actually PM's their other persona to arrange meetings. Of course, if they have had conversations by PM then the mystery will deepen even more.
