Finished fixing up a much neglected VFR800 I picked up recently. It was in a real state. It's still not perfect but pleased enough with the transformation.

Unfortunatley riding it's a different story. For some reason I've got on fine with my previous two VFRs, but not clicking with this one at all. I think I've got too used to the Street Triple and DRZ riding positions with the wide flat bars and lower pegs and can't see myself wanting to ride this VFR. Very odd, but I feel quite definite about it so it's up for sale already. And on to the gripes... monosyllabic low ballers....

Plenty of imperfections up close though.

Ditto. Appreciating the air flow of riding a naked bike for the first time in a while too.

Wow!

I did switch from my electrically heated gloves to regular winter gloves, does that count? (I get cold hands )

Once the temperature (or if the temperature) gets over 22°C I'll consider Summer gloves (maybe).

I didn't take the lining out my jacket last year... Maybe I should eat more.

Hugh came out of hiding today. Went out for an hour long shake down run (shake down of me, Hugh is fine) which felt so good after a long hibernation.

Yep me too. Various chores to be done gave me the excuse to use the bike today. Good to get 50 or 60 miles in, even though there was traffic and a heavy downpour in Shrewsbury to contend with.

I was working today and got caught in that downpour Gary, just as I was leaving work. Grrr.
