Always nice when perseverance pays off. Hope he enjoys it John.

Which bit of Brighton is he living in? Know it well from my uni days, plus the Munchkin went to uni there too and still lives there...

He's near Round hill, Upper Lewes Road. I can't say I know the area well. I don't think I've been to Brighton for at least 40 years. That'll change now of course.

Back form a 3 day Biking trip in Dent, Sedburgh. Whilst the weather wasn't great (it's grim up Norf) it was an enjoyable weekend.
Another 800 miles on the Bike.

Near Sainsburys then. Quite a bohemian area and only a few streets away from where Monkey lived in her second year. Some interesting murals on the sides of some of the houses around there too.

Sounds perfect for my son. Right up his street... literally.

I need to get a few more miles under my wheels to make sure I can get as far as Barmouth in one piece. It'll be my longest trip in ages (thanks Covid) so I'm a smidge rusty. A bit like my knees...

SV passed its MOT, no advisories. 6 years old, 34k miles - longest I've owned a bike in time and mileage.

Did a little repair job on a dwarf wall at a farmhouse near here. The house dates back to Tudor times in parts.
The wall was built in the last 30yrs or so but used old bricks from the site, a random variety of ages but one or two were small handmade bricks probably over 300yrs old I'd guess.
It always gives me a real buzz to be using really old materials like that, just contemplating the folk who made the bricks and laid them for the first time so long ago, and now I've had a little part in their history too. Maybe in another couple of hundred years someone else will relay them.

This is what I expect my bike suspension to be able to do:

...not too much to ask, is it?

Not sure what to make of this! Ordered a 2 pack of Redex at £10.45. The advert disappeared and 1 was being sold for the same amount (expensive) . Tried to cancel about 20 min after ordering, seller refused. Item turned up and it was a four pack! So £7 - £8 at Halfords for 500ml, £2.62 ish from d2paccessories - should keep me going for a long while!
