Re: Southend Shakedown + BBQ
Where in Herts are you? Probably too late by now. Just didn't fancy doing the 80 miles on my own.

Re: Southend Shakedown + BBQ
I got to Lidl at 2:25 as I got a tiny bit lost before getting there, right at the end I took a left one roundabout too soon and ended up on my way to Shoeburyness. I think I saw the sv org rideout crossing my path when I'd turned around, nuts. I took a picture but not sure if it'll upload. Bellevue Ave next to the Tesco garage was the height of my Southend excitement. Still, had a great ride down there and back again but just wished I could've been there for the ride and subsequent BBQ. My own fault for a) being late and b) not getting a contact number, like a dufus. Oh well, next time. Hope y'all enjoyed yourselves!
P.S. Haluk, where are you in Cambs? I'm in Harpenden, Herts if ever you want to go for a spin, give me a shout, I'd be up for it; calendar willing, etc. I'm often out Letchworth, Royston or Hertford/Ware way, and North of there. Cheers. Last edited by Feldspar; 13-04-09 at 04:55 PM. |

Yes give us a pm one quiet weekend when you're in the area (subject to permission from Mrs of course). Or there is the rideout on 19th I believe (EAR section) in case it isn't too far for you. But it looks like they're strugling for numbers too http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=126915&page=4 Last edited by Haluk; 13-04-09 at 05:45 PM. Reason: Link |

Re: Southend Shakedown + BBQ
A most enjoyable day, many thanks to Gail & Jonathan for putting this on once again (even through recent events).
Well as arranged I wasn't going to do theride around, and made my own way to the vox's pad, after being mobbed by the boys (being first there) and Gail saving me with a most welcome brew ( boys don't spill Mark's tea.... ), the rest turned upabout 20 minutes later. some chat and food later I went with those who didn't have to get back for a ride around following our host ( once again thanks Jonothan), some nice local roads, apart for some really annoying fog, it was fun (and afforded those there a glimps of some of the AR route). A few pics from the BBQ bit of the day here. Cheers Mark.

Hey all. Thanks for a great day. Me and the OH really enjoyed our first ride out. Got a bit lost on the way home but still got home in good time. Thanks to Mr Vox for an awesome BBQ.
