Re: What to Bring
Well, did a test pack on the bike!
Duffal bag on top has tent, sleeping bag, airbed, few random bits. Lots of room left. Pannier are emtpy but will be filled with clothes/light goods. I'll wrap the duffal bag in black sacks and the panniers come with their own waterproof bags! All secured, feels solid enough. It feels a lot heavier than I anticipated though. Hope it doesnt affect my riding too much, I'll just remember to take it super easy, as smooth as possible. Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

Ah crap, you know what I forgot whilst down The Range. Those matt things to stop the bungee cords rubbing on the plastics, which they do.
Pants. New rubber front and back being fitted tomorrow, fenda extenda due soon also. My fixer peg should be here tomorrow also, and that is me officially sorted for the AR! |

[QUOTE=hongman;2334306]Ah crap, you know what I forgot whilst down The Range. Those matt things to stop the bungee cords rubbing on the plastics, which they do. I've got some of that. If you can make it to Boreham we can slot it in there

[QUOTE] If you're getting two new tyres I suggest you try to get out and about as much as possibe this week to scrub them in a bit. Not essential, mind, 'cos the first bit of our journey will be boring straight lines, but it does help. Particularly if you're not used to a loaded bike. |
