Dan's 2008 bike.

Me and Law had a look at the new zx10 the other week...very nice looking. Sort of Ducati-esque seat back shape. Looks really smart and niiiiiice. Not helping am I?

The new rear end is sublime but I can't get over the crossed eyed front end. My favourite would be the 2006 model. Simply stunning. It lookes like it will kill you though. I'll probably never buy a litre sportsbike.

Oh come on Dan, sod that. I see a simple solution to your quandary here. Ducati 999 - Ducati superbike for only £5k and all because everybody believes it not to be pretty enough.

Buy it, wince at the clutch rattle, grin at the back end noise for 6 months, tick Ducati ownership off the list and then flog it for £5k to someone else. You've kept bikes for less time!

It's what I'd do (might still do...shhhhh )

Yep, here comes the handbrake. Still, she's a smashing handbrake nonetheless. I wish my missus would be into bikes. Ah well. She's still great.

It's funny isn't it...if I start talking about Ducatis i get "You don't really want a Ducati do you?" Translated into girlspeak that reads as "Ducati? Not flippin likely. You'll have another SV and be done with it, sticking the extra money you would have spent in the holiday fund."
