I Have just spent that long reading that write up and looking at them fantastic pictures that the site logged me out!!
What a fantastic trip and them pictures are amazing!! Hats off to the pair of you.

The whole reason i decided to learn to ride was because i want to do trips like this... The week after i got my bike i went off to cornwall for a week and considering i live in warrington its a good ride down and i enjoyed every minute of the 1000 miles i did that week.

However the boss has approved my request for 3 weeks off next summer.... would i be mad to try something like this within my first year of riding??

No. Do it. My first trip to the Alps was done in my first year of riding. Just pace yourself and stop when you need to.

As well as being the answer i was hoping for... its also the wrong answer as encouragement like that will only get me excited.... LOL

Rest assured i will bend your ears off about this at the Christmas meal.....

Chat to Mike at the Xmas Meal Dave... he`ll point you in the right direction. I`m now feeling all melancholy looking at the pics again and reading the write up. Still can`t quite believe I did it!
