No taste. What's the point of telling everyone your bike's illegal also? Mine's illegal enough as it is without advertising yet more ways!

meh 6000ks are quite similar to 8000k

i think i will go with 6000k.. my next worry is hiding the ballast

Yep, that's another reason. But the ain one is that 3800K or that region is what most real studies have shown to be most effective (going slightly hotter gives better depth perception, going slightly colder gives more light close to the daylight spectrum, so it's a balance, not everyone agrees where it lies)

Hiding the ballast is easy on faired bikes. Loads of room. Try it on a nekkid.

yeah but can i hide them inside the airbox? it'd be nice, just the right distance from the bulbs and right out of sight and weather removing the snorkel would compensate for the slight decrease in flow shirley?

Changing the airbox volume will change the running characteristics. Also if it were to cook itself all that particulate smoke would go straight into the engine.
