So he was breaking the law and you decided to act. Do you never speed? That is seen by some as dangerous and it certainly is breaking the law. So a "vigilante" road user invokes his own brand of justice just as you have done. Is that ok too?
The car driver who made it difficult to pass might have been victim of someone elses righteous behaviour previously.

I'm not saying I haven't done it when I was young, but I wouldn't now.

he annoyed you because he was on his phone-you hit out, so if your loud can annoys someone they might feel like doing the same to you -where does it end?
