I've used fully synth in my SV, ZX7R and will be in my VFR. As YC rightly says, if the oil meets the correct standards it will be fine.

The old clutch-slip thing is cobblers.

Where do you get it for that price?

As YC (and others) have said, the "JASO-MA" test is specifically to determine wet clutch compatibility, if it satisfies that test it won't cause clutch slip whether it's synthetic or semi.

Forget the blanket nonsense about "synthetic oil will cause clutch slip" or "synthetic is more slippery", it won't and it isn't. The main features of synthetic oil are (simplistically) better stability at very high local surface temperatures and potentially longer service life, whether or not the engine is designed to take advantage of (or require) these is another issue. Generally speaking the SV engine is perfectly happy with a semi-synthetic oil of decent quality, but a suitable fully synthetic will work fine if you prefer.
