Best quote I can get for a 19 year old with no NCB and a fault accident is £450, but that's with unlimited miles & legal cover (not like it matters though as they give you no win no fee solicitors anyway). TPFT IIRC too, but I reckon the most opportunity it's going to get to get nicked is by fellow orgers

also a r1 restricted will do 145mph so thats still faster than a unrestricted sv650 thats what i dont get about this restriction stuf it should be top end restriction not just bhp!!!

I can't see a restricted R1 doing that sort of speed... And bhp restriction is a top end restriction.

Insurance has come down enough for me that when Dad renews his insurance for his CB1300 I'll be going on it

Don't really see how it's relevant, i dunno how the person who's car you write off etc. etc. is going to be comforted by the fact that even though they're out of pocket it could have been some spotty chav on an r6 doing 20mph more....

Wrong you still have Third Party insurance, its drivining not in accoradnce with a driving licence; which is different to not having insurance. The rest doesn't make sense, how can you say what offence someone could be charged with, then what the court result would be?

How would you still have third party insurance ?? if your an a restricted Licence and you are running full power your insurance Is void im going thorugh a claim at the moment and having a few problems with 33 bhp laws and i have been told that if i was driving with full power my insurance would be null and VOID ......

Im not saying what offence someone would be charged with i said ** AT WORST** you would have a prison senctence and be paying out alot of money for a long time as your insurance would have said ... (You know you should of been riding resticted and its been proved you wasnt so your on your own .

what do you think there going to say? ...o yes sir you was riding a bike with 70 bhp when your should of been on 33bhp even though thats againts the law .... we will still cover you and fight your corner.

I dont think so do you ?

Doesnt your insurance only cover you as long as you drive/ride in accordance of your licence?
Riding a full power bike while restricted would not be in accordance of your licence and would make insurance void.

Exactly what I thought, I've learnt from your lesson hindle
(sorry it happened like) and made the broker admit on the phone a receipt from the person that fitted it would suffice and that there is no need for a certificate. I took down the times & dates I called them.

Would your isnurer not accept just a receipt from the dealer?
