I would have said they were preventing snow ballers from assaulting people on the hill and by showing a high vis presence the public were safe to enjoy the snow without fear of being assaulted.
Trust and confidence ![]() OK only fun I have had on the job is getting the panda stuck up a hill and sliding back down and breaking up snowmen built in the carriageway. I wanna go !!!!! ;0)

Nice one officers, I'd do the same!
You can't compare police sliding down a hill whilst out in the field with if we were to do the same. The equivalent of that in our jobs may be very different, so they can't be compared. That's the nature of police work, out there doing stuff, etc, so they're bound to bump into more fun. Like someone suggested earlier, police sliding down a hill is an office workers equivalent of taking 20 minute 'internet breaks'. And also we're not too sure if they were on a break or not. That could have been the start of their lunchtime. I assume police officers are allowed lunch right?! well it looked fun, so fair do's. Last edited by thulfi; 14-01-10 at 07:15 PM. |

At the end of the day the force were inevitably going to have to take some action...as it's what they feel like they have to do. They were stupid for letting that snotty little **** film them though.
And doing it at the tax payers expense is a bit over hyped I wonder how many times they've missed breaks etc. they've been entitled to to go and help out a tax payer.

TBH I think emergency services deserve overtime more than anyone else. I'd be pretty gutted if I got stabbed to death on a shift (example) and I wasn't even getting paid for it.
