Blue curvy wasn't it, didn't really have a good look, but it seemed shiney.

Hopefully you'll get out On some rides.

Cheers Mark.

I have a temporary plug in my tyre thanks to the top bloke from the AA (he really was a great guy, although I must question his eyesight - he said my bike didn't too bad considering it hadn't been cleaned for two years )

So assuming my pootle to ER on Monday doesn't uncover any nasty side-effects (it was a 2" screw in the rear trye) I should get a permanent fix and be along next Friday

I plan to get out next week - if I get out of Thailand, and if I can get operated on ASAP in London - so may be off my face on morphine!

Anyone had their elbow pinned - tell me how bad is it?

Erm, sometimes it's wherever the girls take them . Once the weather gets more friendly then there are usually quite a few rides on Saturdays or Sundays from the Ace Cafe (north circular) and Box Hill (Surrey) - depending on who's organising it and which is closer, thus allowing them to get out of bed later. At least, that's always been my reasoning.

Bad luck with the copper interface, as others have said please don't let it put you off!

Hi Goza,

I have to admit, my sympathies were with the copper this time.

You'd already come through a couple of no-entry signs, then shot into Frith St. like a ped-boy with a pizza to deliver. If you'd dawdled across at walking speed instead of weaving through the pedestrians he might well have let it pass, or just given you few 'friendly' words.

But, anyway, welcome to the Soho Massif. I have to confess that I've had a couple of tours of scenic Soho on my way to Frith St. too. The best bet is to see if someone from around your way can show you the way in.

Just my thoughts,

Keith.

Well, it was an amazing 2" screw that was in the tyre (it was so big, I was concerned when the AA guy was removing it that the engine might drop out ), so I'm planning to pop to Essential Rubber tomorrow for them to check the tyre over properly. If I have to have a new one, so be it. I'm not sure if they can replace it with a permanent plug (the one in at the moment has an advisory 40mph limit).
