psn works it's your ps3's that are going wrong.

refer to my note earlier about PSN disabling any requirements that cause the issue until the patch has been applied to your box

we will not know for sure if they can fix it that way, all depends on how they programmed the system in the first place, it should have been conceved that a console with a wrong date should be able somehow to upgrade firmware

You think sony run PSN in their spare time? Sony and M$ both make their money from licensing: no PSN, no games sold, no money...

it's not about running in spare time, it's the fact that they won't want to use resources on it quite as freely as MS would
