i like this comment from one hack...

Quote:
If we despise the robotic version of politicians which have invaded our TV screens, the pre-programmed Cabinet-level automatons who emit soundbites and vacuity, then we must accept that politicians will behave like humans. They are not moral paradigms and we must accept that behaviour we would tolerate in a friend or colleague should be tolerated from them as well. This disproportionate reaction to their all-too-human failings will just provide us with another generation of political robots.

TBH, I don't think the woman was bigoted at all.

I think the biggest issue with this is that our current PM is to god damn bloody stupid to check and see if his mic is off before he made that comment. He could have been speaking about ANYTHING in the back of that car and it would have been broadcast to the nation.

Someone who doesn't have the sense to check something like that, well, are they capable of running our country??

He wasn't speaking out, the dozy sod was saying what he had on his mind like all of us do at times, and didnt realise he was still hooked up to something blaring out his thoughts to the world.

We all do it at times don't we?
Anyway, didn't do him any favours.

Meh, just another excuse for the press to blow up a tiny story.

Personally I think that woman was bloody brave talking to the Prime Minister like that, also she was in the right and had a healthy argument. Considering he was asked to wear the microphone you'd have thought he would have remembered to take it off Bet he won't be doing that again in a hurry!

Prob not, 'cos in the dole queue they remove such things & that's where he'll be in 8 days time.

No chance of that Puny, he may not be PM but he most certainly will be re-elected as an MP.
