the sv does have a power band or peak torque.. and its around 7000-7500 revs

if you dont understand english jargon* (or spelling it seems) then perhaps you should find the U.S sv650 site so you can brainlessly high 5 each other. or better yet save your fellow countrymen who seem to have average intelegence and above the pain and buy a different bike. (i dont know if you noticed but this would have the added benefit to all of us of you disapearing)

still feminine? i dunno, perhaps you could ask one of the many members of the fairer sex on here about it, some have said the sv is a girls bike anyway.. perhaps thats why i like it if im feminine.

give me a few minutes before you reply.. i like popcorn with my entertainment and i think theres some in the back of the cupboard

p.s. (actually useful meaning..) i never claimed mods to be illegal... i was saying the power of a big 1000 is so much its difficult to keep the speeds legal.. i wasnt yet under the impression i had to talk to you the same i would to a child but i can adapt
Again, there is no POWERBAND in these models your using that word in the wrong context, and work on your punctuation it's "I" not "i" when refering to your self. In case you don't know what punctuation means, I leave you with the definition listed below. Your spelling and grammer are so bad I refuse to respond to you, or any more of your posts, have a nice night. Oh and please don't choke on your popcorn because nobody here would miss you if you died.

Punctuation marks are symbols that indicate the structure and organization of written language, as well as intonation and pauses to be observed when reading aloud.

LOL!
I don't take offence at all, I'm well aware that the SV isn't the most powerful bike in the world (it's why I've recently bought myself a Ninja),

However, my previous advice still stands:
  • If you want more 'power' (as mentioned in your first message "can I get it to hang with the gsxer's (600s) light to light?" then the most cost effective method would be to upgrade to a different bike. (On the SV you 'could' go for a 750cc-bore-out, alongside a race exhaust system, air filter, modified ECU, etc... but it's very expensive!)
  • If you want to simply keep up with your mates on the whole, then upgrade the suspension, change the exhaust to make it sound nicer, and maybe go on a few track days as they are brilliant for confidence building to allow you to make use of every inch of power that the SV will give.

Again you are showing your ignorance and rudeness to people who clearly know vastly more about this subject than you (which is why you are asking here). Even though it has plenty of usable torque at lower RPM the SV also has a very distinct powerband; if you haven't really taken it above 5500 RPM then it's no wonder you think it is gutless. Try doing that on a GSX-R600 and you'll be struggling to keep up with 250cc machines.

200bhp bike is perfectly legal here but if you use a fraction of it you're breaking every speed limit in the land.
Then again ain't the seppo speed limit like 50mph or something pedestrian? No wonder you have so many accidents over there, be falling asleep all the time!

Anyway you had my answer, there is no easy or cheap extra power that makes good value for money. But there is some available for $1000.
