Well all I can say now is that it better be wet like it says it is.
Just had a mad time trying to swap my wheels over. Hopefully next time will be quicker now I've got the knack but with mine it's a wee bit different in that I have got spacers on the calipers to align the disks with the gsxr forks. Anywhoo got it all sorted and noticed the front brake was spongy. Quick look down and see that the disk is flexing. Had to take the caliper back off again and realised i'd put 2 spacers on one bolt and none on the other doh. Fixed that. Then on the rear forgot one spacer on the sprocket carrier. It wasn't till I noticed the rear wheel wouldn't spin did I think mmm I think I've missed summat here. After all that I had a nice realisation that frankengixer looks loads better with white wheels. What do you think? IMG_1052.jpg photo-1.jpg

I did a crash!!
Whoops. Well today ended shorter than expected. First 3 sessions were very wet but I had my wets on so it was real good to learn what they could do. Was getting faster and faster and was easily the fastest in the novice group. Most had road tyres on their road bikes rather than me being super fast. There were a few with track bikes n wets though. Third session was the wettest but also the best. Started getting my knee down in edwinas and round the hairpin. Forth session it all ended in tears. Came out of gerrards after passing a few bikes. As I was exiting Gerrards I was concentrating on a bike which was faster than the others and making a decision whether to pass it before edwinas or not. Decided to pass it before edwinas but hadn't really noticed another rider way in front. Passed the faster bloke and immediately took my line for edwinas only to find myself arriving at the second bikes rear wheel very very quickly and very early. Hard braking with both brakes and the rear steps out to about a 45degree angle and stays there for ages. I daren't let go of the rear brake as I was right on the guys wheel and terrified that I was going to take him out, i really didn't want that. My only hope was that he would tip in and I could let go of the brakes straighten up n go striaght on. Well he tipped in, I let go of the rear brake only which suddenly gripped and chucked the bike and me over. Doh. Slid and got up and was suprised that they had red flagged it as I was ok, up and about and off the track as was the bike. But apparently it was a pretty spectacular crash and he wanted the ambulance to see me. My wrist is hurting but the paramedic says it just a sprain. The rest of me is fine. My helmet took a whack so thats now useless. My bike needs a new track fairing, new footrest, front brake lever and a bolt to make the rear brake work again. Oh and a new crash bung, think thats it. The rear seat hump is scratched but I'm not bothered about that. My only problem is that I can't unload the trailer or my car as I can't lift, pull, squeeze anything...no thomas tanks for me ![]() So yeah, balls i tells ya balls!!

Mate sorry to hear this, GWS buddy. Sounds as though it could have been much worse.
I agree with you I think the bike looks much better with the white wheels.... |

I'll post some pics later, I was pi55ed off a bit as I was just getting ready to do a pan shot of him and he disappeared out of my view
![]() Was caught in two minds worrying if he was ok and shall I take pictures, so I waited to see him get up then took a few snaps. Then I had to push the bike all up the hill back to his trailer, at my age ![]() |

Never hesitate as Binky says. Whats the first thing I said to you? 'Did you get pictures of the crash?'
Haha man I well wish my head hadn't hit the ground!! New helmets cost a lot. Anyway my thought processes pre, during and post were: 'Mmm I'm going to overtake this guy before Edwinas' 'Oh **** where did that guy come from if I dont slam on the brake now I'm guna hit him' 'Oh the back is sliding out' 'If I weren't ****ed it would look like I'm backing it in' 'Please tip in and out of my way' 'Thank god he's not in the way...off the brakes' 'I need a new helmet' 'Where's my bike?' 'Why's he waving the red flag?' 'I wonder if I can ride the bike' Oh and specialone...I was told the recovery team normally push the bike back to the bogs themselves...you saved them a job. Was quite funny though when the medical staff told me I would find my bike by the bogs...thought to myself that's a bit mean ain't it?
