apart from using rainex, any advice on keeping my visor clear when its raining or is it just a case of wiping it every so often?

Are you getting droplets on the inside? In which case having a bit of kitchen roll or a visor drywipe to whip out and mop up the inside droplets can be useful. I find tipping my head from side to side (as if you were doing right and left lifesavers) when moving helps the larger droplets roll off but other than that there's not much else you can do.

Investing in a Pinlock kit is a good idea if you have issues with fogging up...it's on my shopping list

Kyle,

I clean my visor with autoglym car polish every time I get back home. Principally to clean all the flies off. However, it also builds up a nice shiny surface which means the rain rolls off if you turn your head side to side. Ironically when it is raining light to medium strength, going a bit faster means the wind drives the rain from your visor. Going slower means it just sits there.

That said if you really dont like it and cant see, the best thing to do is pull over and stop. Nervous and hesitant doesnt make for good riding.

Just my experience, hope it helps.

I have a bottle spray of windows cleaner and some microfiber cloths in by box. Rain was never an issue but greasy splashed bugs really annoy me so I usually clean my visor every 2 stops or so, sometime more often if I catch a nasty one.

i used some rainex on the outside and demister on the inside so will see how that goes. think ill keep a cloth in my jacket so i can wipe it if need be though.

finally got a chance to go out on my bike tonight when there was a break in the rain, was getting dark and it was really wet so i was a bit nervous but just enjoyed getting out!
