Rode a ZX6R B1H last night. Like I said in my previous post, this will almost definitely be my next bike. Absolutely awesome piece of kit and will suit what I need a bike for. 1st gear wheelies on the power were a P.O.P. and not at all scary. Really front endy in the corners (which I like), with loads of feel. To get the best out of it you have to really ride it. Grab it by the scruff of the neck and show it who's boss. It is possible to sit back and relax on the SV to some extent.

Did you prefer it to the J2 you rode?

Huh? Not ridden a J2. I've ridden an A1P, which (I think) was the first 636 version. The A1P was a lot softer and less focussed, but still a lovely bike. The B1H is a LOT more focussed. More extreme riding position and a lot firmer. It is also smaller overall, but with a taller seating position. I think the B1H is also a lot better looking than the new 636 with the underseat pipe.

I'd go along with the DL1000 (V-Strom) also - but possibly the Kwak version in bright orange.
The only problem is the DL is a bit tall - the TDM900 is just the right size and now comes with ABS.

only had my j2 ninja for a coupleof months so I reckon at least a year on it and then....

am I ther only one that fancies an old fireblade? They just seem to be the original bike of legend for the last decade, something i remember dribbling over in my younger days......

Other than that, i quite fancy an Aprillia RSV R........

I've ridden a J2, not bad. Want to try a 636 though.

Might be looking to get a new bike next year. I want a bike with sports bike handling, a little more power than the SV, practical (as in, it wont break down or cost a fortune to service/run, so no dukes!) and not too peaky.

K4/5 GSXR 600..... I commuted on it almost every day for 18 months, took it Europe a number times, did track days and the odd ride out as well..

If it wasn't for me having a bad back I'd probably still have it.

Certainly a serious consideration. Lots of test riding to be done next year
