Lot's of great films mentioned but a few extra to add... Audition - Now that's what I call a horror movie, non of that running along dark corridors or over elaborate blood and gore Saw nonsense but truly disturbing images that stay with you. Seven Samurai - How come no ones mentioned this! The perfect movie. Princess Mononoke - Everyone raves about Spirited Away, and rightly so it's a great movie, but I always thought this was his best work. High Fidelity - My favourite bestseller book adaptation, although almost any John Cusack movie would do. Amores Perros - Motorcycle Diaries has already been mentioned so I'll go for this one, Just great acting and a great movie. Napolean Dynamite - Just for that dance ![]() |

Das Boot..?
Oh and Dam busters... ![]() I would love to see a modern version of that, but not made by Hollywood. |

Thinking about this, what with 'Savin Private Ryan' and the TV series 'Band of Brothers'... who going to make the modern story of our veterans like that. Before there story is lost with them... Dunkerk or Market Garden... and others...
