wear sunglasses instead! its safer - you'll be able to remove them easily if you go in a tunnel unlike those visors which have tricky flip up mechanisms!
I get it know, but we're all a bit thick - you need to lay it on a bit more with a trowel.
did you notice the "Idiot" 'with a capital I' too?

If your eyes hurt, close them....

No, seriously a dark tint visor does it for me. I had a caburg with the flip down visor, but its just as easy to get a dark visor for your current lid and swap them as necessary.

No problem with flipping it up for tunnels, no chance of glass in your eyes, etc...

I used black tape across the top of the visor for quite a while, then treated myself to one of these

Expensive for a strip of plastic, but it works well. It's very dark blue from the inside, so you don't get the letterbox feeling as with black tape, and if you tip your head down it cuts glare from headlights etc while still letting you see where things are. Don't know what the silver version is like.

To fit an Arai just cut slots where the vents are. The plastic is not stretchy at all, so tricky to get to fit properly in a 3D curved visor, but the rubbing tool they supply in order to fit it works well.

I fitted mine on the inside, I guess you could fit inside or out.
