Hence saying a spitfire is ok (i.e. although the rest went for modern jets a 'classic' live a spit/P51 would have been ok too) ... but there is nothing interesting about a chipmunk!!

It just sums up how lame his desires are ... I offered him ANYTHING and he chose a chipmunk!!!

Ah, but it's the fear that it's going to fall apart that would increase the buzz. Well, it would for me.

Doesn't take much skill to fly a state of the art jet at low level, pretty fast. If I could fly anything, it'd be a 'copter. Doesn't really matter which one, any will do me.

Must admit it doesnt exactly stir the soul does it ? used to be based at Cranwell and the battle of britain memorial flight used to go over occasionaly, lancaster plus spitfire and hurricane, you could here the merlin engines for ages before they arrived, now THAT stirred the soul.

Like I said, I have flown chipmunks myself (and done aerobatics in them ), it was way cool … but give me the choice of ANY aeroplane to fly and it wouldn’t be a chipmunk …

Its exactly the same as his car … like I said, its an 02 plate Focus. Jolly good car, nowt ‘wrong’ with that … but when I offer you unlimited cash and hence the choice any car on the planet … why say ‘I’ll stick with my focus’???? Unless you have no desire ... just no desire for anything ...
