FINALLY finished transferring the videos, very slow... Need to sort myself out with a card reader. They're alright, nature of the beast today is that only a few people will be in them (best thing for onboard camera is to move about in the pack so everyone can see themselves on Crimewatch, er, Youtube) but I've got a weird ripply effect that comes and goes, and it's really annoying. I think it's maybe some sort of interference from the engine. I cannot be ****ed to edit them just now.

Completely true this... But I don't think today was the best way to deal with the differences in pace, like I say, when I dropped back from Jim because I'd lost sight of Stuartyboy, Tony and Ralph, it was fine to have the option BUT for all anyone else knew I'd ridden into the loch. Also, we managed to take off aftre the Biggar stop and leave me and Tony- mainly Tony, he rides fast but he doesn't put on a helmet in a hurry!- behind, Ralph marked the junction but would everyone else have thought to do that? Not sure.

Good easy rideout, thanks Indy & Q for organising it.

I can't really say anything based on previous rideouts.... cos this was my first.

I stayed to the front because I wasn't sure how my pace would fit in and wasn't 100% on the route.

A wee bit of the elastic band effect was happening for me at times when we got bunched early on. The last thing I wanted to do was risk a bump.

If I had known the route better I think I may well have gone for the overtake in a few of the more open stretches. Glad i didn't in the second section as I am sure I'd have got caught out at some point and ecided to wear a hedge. I think the two groups option could be worth a try, it would suit the folks on the bigger bikes and those with faster pace aswell as give the less confident and less experienced the choice to go at the right pace.

I should have made it sooner. It was good to meet everyone eventually and only re-inforced my bike is getting used far too much for commuting.

Look forwardto seeing you all at the next one.

Cheers

On my PC still, I've got about 4 hours of video and I just cannot be ****ed to watch it and edit it just now Might need to do a tad of number plate removal before I can upload 'em, too- got loads of you from the leg from St Mary's Loch cafe to where you left us.

Camera's a bit **** though, so don't expect HD!
