Yeah, it's just off Oxford road, pretty much under the railway arches.

I just had a wander up to the markets and they have all the usual temptations - hot wine, beer, hot cider, beer, sausages, beer and little pancakes. We'll all be being sick by the end of the day

Have you tried the steakburgers from the stall on St Annes Square? Mmmmm...

Hope the weather's better than it is today, i've just been past the markets on my lunch break & it's minging out there!

There is a big Christmas market up in North Sheilds.

I think North Shields is a bit far after all the majority of us active north-easterners live in the south of the region. Yarm would be a good place as it has some decent pubs there.

Yarm sounds good to me for the North Eastern Chapter ( ) of the Pennine Massive.

Date and time are the most important things at this stage, we can argue over hostelries later, there are plenty to choose from.

Hi all, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who met up in Manchester yesterday - had a really good day out & it was nice to put some more faces to forum names!

Sorry I had to leave a bit suddenly, but faced with a choice of getting the last train back to Wigan or going on to stay with some mates in Huddersfield, I decided on the latter which meant getting a train from Piccadilly asap.

I have a couple of photos taken on my phone which I'll post up in a bit.

Hope everyone's hangovers have subsided a bit by now

Sorry we ended up losing you guys but some of the others got stuck outside one of the pubs a bit lost so I had to go rescue them Was a top day out and I was only a bit hungover yesterday

It was great to meet some folks I haven't met before and to see the Wilkys again We should do another drinky session soon!

Right North-East Chapter, dates to meet up for a drink, I can do either Friday/Saturday night this week, or wednesday night next week, how do these dates work for everyone else?
