Talking of cars the Civic had to go to the great scrap heap in the sky after 20 years of great service. Bought a Corolla hybrid automatic. never had an automatic before. We were just about to go onto the M42 when the wife decided to change gear, no clutch only a brake pedal! The car came to a sudden stop, luckily nothing behind, but such was the deceleration my glasses left my head and hit the window screen! (about 3ft away) I did not sleep well

The recent and ongoing flooding from Storm Babet was caused by the wrong kind of rain, says the environment minister Therese Coffey.
It came from the wrong direction and snuck up on us?

I've long advocated age and term limits for MPs, maybe I should add IQ tests too.

I think the majority would be out on their ears then! Can we have a 'common sense' test too?

Just back from a beautiful ride in the Derbyshire Dales, gorgeously sunny, roads dry and not yet gritted, toasty warm with my heated vest on, and had a play with another rider on a Monster. His Termi cans and my Yoshi were making some sweet music together

For the last 12 yrs, Cheryl and I have had an Amazon Prime account and opened it up for our children. Only request is use your name, address and bank card , a cardbourd envelope arrives for me. Cheryl says "expecting it ?", nope, checks the account and it's for one of our girls. I asked 'bit of fun?' so she took it, steamed it open and replaced the powered cocoanut milk with two new disposable babies nappies and resealed it. Later when the daughter opened it I could hardly keep a straight face.
