Re: Vintage film cameras
It's a couple of hours Johnny. Lovely ride over Teesdale and Weardale on the B roads but I'm avoiding at the mo due to all the resurfacing work and loose gravel.
It's an OM 40, not a 4 Reasonable price including the lenses but unfortunately nothing that I really need . |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Picked this up at the reuse shop at the local tip. Needs a new door latch but I may be able to rob that off another Polaroid or the incomplete SX70 model 3 I have somewhere.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Had a good day at Flying Legends at Duxford today. Burnt through three rolls of Vista 200. Will get them sent off along with the roll from the Zorki when I get paid next week.

Re: Vintage film cameras
So do I. Got a great shot of a U.S paratrooper in front of a C47, plus a guy in uniform in front of a P47. Took the Nikon FM for a spin, hope it works!

Re: Vintage film cameras
Cool Polaroid, and looking forward to seeing the pics Kenzie. FML I am struggling with the GAS just now. I've got my free time back (sort of) and despite the fact I've got a stack of cameras to clean up and sell on, I keep looking on ebay. Not caved yet. There is a Mamiya Six folder with some pinholes but looks nice otherwise, even here in the UK, listed for £30 and no one took it, was thinking of contacting them with a cheeky offer. Also a Contessa LKE (rangefinder), all working, £12 inc post or offer. A couple of spots on the front element but comes with a case. They're not going for a great deal at the moment but I'm drawn as it's one of my favourite ones. Think I need to burn my laptop.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I overspent this month but luckily it's payday in a couple of days. Really trying not to buy, but couldn't ignore the Polaroid. I have so many cameras in the queue. I'm finding it easier to only take one film camera out at a time, otherwise I flick between them and can't enjoy them. I found the FM a bit of a pain to use, I'd keep forgetting to unlock the shutter release which also turns on the meter by moving the wind lever to the stand off position. Problem with that is it the pushes my eye away from the viewfinder making it harder to compose.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Interesting user comment on the FM. Mine's not got to the top of the queue yet. I can't wait to find out just how irritating that shutter lock/meter lever mechanism is.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Very nice! It was actually really annoying Yoko. I could have missed quite a few shots that way. I could have left it unlocked but then the battery would have run down. Spoilt by Minolta finger sensor I guess!
