It’s pretty good for a 25 year old bike. Main thing was the plastics are in reasonable condition because they’re like hens teeth. All the smoky bits are still available.

Do any of you remember the little yellow bird in Peanuts? He was called Woodstock, hung around with Snoopy and could NOT fly straight. I've just watched a house sparrow trying to fly up to the nesting boxes on the side of our house carrying a two foot piece of grass. Trying! Just like Woodstock - so funny.

Although it's a three opening sparrow terrace we've only had blue- and great tits in there up to now, so it's lovely to have sparrows looking to use it this year.

Some roads in Wales will revert to 30mph following backlash at the Welsh government's £34m default 20mph policy.

Transport Secretary Ken Skates said the changes will address the concerns that "a lot of people" have raised "on a consistent basis".

"We've put our hands up to say the guidance has to be corrected," he said.

It was a bad decision in the first place. A blanket speed restriction doesn't take into account local conditions. I'm not against the 20 limit but it should be applied to certain conditions such as outside schools, known danger spots such as blind bends, narrow roads with narrow pavements.

Quite agree. On the flip side I was avoiding a traffic jam on Tuesday night and went a different route home and one of the villages I passed through was clearly campaigning for a 20 limit. Currently a 30 it has no school, no tight bends or hazards, no very narrow sections or any reasons to have one. Most traffic ignore the 30 signs so I can see their anger but making it a 20 would make a nonsense of the "only where it makes sense" policy.
