Nice pics Kenzie, often not easy to get the could detail in. I've still got my eye on a Mamiya Six, it didn't sell and now relisted, but the bellows have been repaired and there was no interest last time. SP of £30, I checked and they are still mainly going for over £100.

Are you going to take a punt on it? Going to Caister Castle on Wednesday on the bikes. Its got a motor museum there so I may take the MX with the wide angle Zeiss.

I like closure and reasons. I figured out why the Pentax wouldn't work and something I hadn't picked up on before. Batteries. The previous owner had used AG12s; supposedly LR44 equivalents but not the same size.
LR44 on the outside; AG12 in the middle. Right width and power but not enough depth in the battery box to trigger the contacts.
Maybe something to be aware of when electrics won't work.

That's why the foil worked then. Took up the slack.

Yep. The bigger LR44s don't need the foil.
I checked the Pentax batteries (AG12) first in a Minolta and they worked fine so I thought there was nothing wrong with them. Didn't realise the problem was size.
It's saved me from binning a perfectly good camera.

Always best to start with the simple things before diving in. I'm guilty of that and made a lot of work for myself. Got a spares Trip 35 coming which has 666 in the serial number.

AG12 is an LR43 equivalent, for LR44 you need an AG13. Glad you figured it out though

Been out and about again today. Charity shops have proved fruitless so popped into an antiques centre. Found a Vivitar Series 1, 35-80 f2.8 and a Seagull tlr.

Good find. Another Seagull. How come I can never find any in their homeland?
I was in my local camera shop yesterday and they had a Minolta himatic 7sii. Nice compact size, similar to the Oly35rc and a much better lens, viewfinder and rangefinder patch. I almost bought it but the light meter/auto mode wasn't working properly.
