Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.... meet Bullseye.
It was a tough decision to say goodbye to Hugh, especially as he was running so well and his uprated suspension and tyres made him a really nice bike, but, the Strom is taller, which is easier on my increasingly aching knees, and, well, I really fancied a change. We've had a couple of family deaths recently, and Lady Poppy said "why wait?", so I didn't. Had a lovely ride home - it is very smooth and comfortable and I need to get out over the next few weekends and put some miles on it so I can use more revs as it runs in. The topbox is now fitted, after much swearing, and the satnav holder is now bolted in place ready for me to work out where to power it from. Will tinker more in a few days and get back to you all on how I settle in with him. Needless to say, I am a happy camper.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Congratulations on the new bike!
Isn't there a USB port on the left side of the dash cluster for your satnav?

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
The USB port will power the action camera until I buy an Innov dashcam. The power cables for the satnav cradle need a switched live and a ground, and on Hugh I used the horn as my feed (no sniggering). I've found Bullseye's horn (I said no sniggering) and will see if I can use the same route for now. If I can get a good auto electrician to fit the Innov I'll see if they can tidy up the nav, and get them to fit the running lights I want to add too... The projector headlightsare quite striking but they're physically small so your standard blind car driver will miss them more than a traditional round headlight, or think I'm further away.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I got a cast taken off my arm on Monday, eight weeks after surgery having a bone graft from my hip into my right arm radius.
I started (self administered) physio straight away and within just three days I've got a fair bit of movement back in my wrist and arm! Considering it took more like three months to get near where I have in three days when the original accident that caused all this happened last year, having some movement back so soon feels like a bit of a miracle! It's hurting to do the physio to get this progress, but I'm really hoping to get back riding again soon! ( + I know I'm skipping a fair bit of the story behind how crap things have been to create this sitaution in the last year and a half and why I haven't been on here in a while, but I'm just content to smile about it right now and trying to put the rest behind me. ) How's everyone doing?

Hey Adam, great to see you again! I know exactly what you mean about getting freedom of movement back, I've had some back issues over the past 18 months which caused a lot of pain and affected mobility. Hope you continue to heal well and can get back on a bike soon.

Nice wheels Trev. Part of the fun of a new bike is the tinkering to your requirements. I'll be interested to see what mileage you get.
Adam , nice to hear from you again. I've been following your progress on Instagram so have some idea of the journey you've been through. Looks like you could be riding again soon. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
