I'm happy to pay my licence fee just for Planet Earth and similar, Radio 4, the internet local news and weather, Tom Hiddleston's bum in the Night Manager and Idris Elba in Luther.

I pay £89 a month for Sky, rarely watch it except cricket, and Ian Botham isn't worth that.

I'm sorry, did you say you pay well over a GRAND to Sky each year? Seriously??? It annoys me that I pay somewhere around £300 a year to them... If we had a decent Freesat or Freeview signal here I would certainly switch over and tell them to shove it.

i done the sneaky. i got sky for a few months so they fitted a dish and such for me. new telly comes with freesat tuner so dumped virgin telly. only thing i miss is syfy. ok i still pay a whopping £41 for broadband but once the contracts up i'm seriously considering talk talk package for the same price. thats tv (with syfy), broadband and unlimited phone calls to landline and mobiles.

Six days after the big snowstorm and I can finally see the drive and the lawn again but it's an awful muddy mess now.
Looked better with the snow.

Stinking feckin Eurostar, last time I used it I got the lurgi. Travelled back on it yesterday, surrounded by coughing and sneezing passengers, or blowing their noses cos they're full of snot.

Perhaps if I could have come home on the Thursday train, then I might not have caught this bug, but I ain't paying 140€ to exchange the ticket, when it only cost £157. 40€ to change it, but another 100€ on top, at least **** Turpin wore a mask when he robbed folk.

£41 for a hotel was far cheaper

Sports Personality with Lewis Hamilton included. He has zero personality. And awful clothes.

And before you all say it, Jimmy Anderson isn't any better. Jimmy is actually incredibly shy but has a very dry sense of humour when he lets his guard down.

Yes, and that's why the public don't warm to him.

BBC bias was in full swing yesterday, when one nominee didn't get a look in; in yesterdays Sporting moments of the year, meant to highlight their achievement for SPOTY. Neither did the other two, making an historic year for their sport.

Only one candidate in my book, as none of the others have personalities.

My cold has got to the annoying runny nose stage, and streaming eyes, that's my gripe

No. You're thinking of the years it was Nigel Mansell.
