[QUOTE=Messie;2334507][QUOTE=hongman;2334306]Ah crap, you know what I forgot whilst down The Range. Those matt things to stop the bungee cords rubbing on the plastics, which they do. I've got some of that. If you can make it to Boreham we can slot it in there

Pants.

New rubber front and back being fitted tomorrow, fenda extenda due soon also. My fixer peg should be here tomorrow also, and that is me officially sorted for the AR!

If you're getting two new tyres I suggest you try to get out and about as much as possibe this week to scrub them in a bit. Not essential, mind, 'cos the first bit of our journey will be boring straight lines, but it does help. Particularly if you're not used to a loaded bike.
Thanks Sally

The guy actually just come and fit my tyres Literally just done. He did warn me several times to take it easy, on the front (rear is part worn - basically just been scrubbed in, still 6mm tread left!)

I'm going to use it to go to work on the next few days to get em scrubbed.

We have a £ store in Harlow but its right in the Town Centre...by the time I've paid for parking and whatnot its easier to just pay a quid more from somewhere else!

Well, done my checks tonight so all ready, havent used any oil (bonus), front tyre pressure a bit low, rear perfect.
Turned up my preload on the rear to six clicks out from fully in, which is roughly what manual says for luggage plus pillion.
So, apart from a wash and lube chain, its ready for luggage

I did wonder about my suspension but I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm leaving it alone. Only luggage.

I know my front is showing 2 notches, don't even know how to tell what the rear is on. Oh and I lost the oem kit so no c spanner lol.

packed up the rucksack, 40.5 lbs, should manage that, going to run across london tomorrow just to make sure.

Cheers Mark.
