The problem with the BFO hammer, is you bend the wrong part of the frame, so aligning one bit pushes another out of alignment. Search for northwinds posts on the matter.

i tried to make good my bent front subframe, no joy at all

i even took it to a place in kent that does bike frame fixing, he said the problme with making it good will result in the plastics cracking

in the end i got a brand new one for 130 pounds, i couldnt find one in any breakers at all
and remember getting a second hand one could reslut in another bent one!!

Got my mother involved and the mrs last night, 6 hours later and a ffew washers here and there and its done, bike is back together. Just need lhs mirror and back on road, even without the mirror went for a small blast (10 miles) around the block. Felt brilliant to be back on road, but bike doesnt seem as fast. I must be getting fat lol
