Apparently 2007 Blackstones specifically stated that a locking knife isn't an offensive weapon per se, but I can't say that for sure, that's a second hand link.

..thanks northy but I dont think I really want to run that risk if it's ok with you.. I think that having it on my belt and using the line that I need it for work isnt going to carry much weight if say i was to get caught leaving work at the times I do and going home through somewhere like Soho now is it???
